Morton's new signing, Mackenzie Carse, believes he's on the path to getting his career back on track after learning the dirty side of football. The 22-year-old midfielder has joined Morton after a spell in Northern Ireland with Coleraine and 18 months at Stirling Albion.

Carse was introduced in place of the injured Iain Wilson but was unable to help his new team-mates avoid slumping to their sixth successive defeat as they fell to a 2-0 loss at Stenhousemuir.

Despite his relatively young age, Carse brings considerable senior experience from his time in Northern Ireland and at Forthbank - something that could prove valuable to several of the less experienced players currently featuring for Ian Murray's side.
