Morton prepare for their trip to Ochilview today, with manager Ian Murray insisting plenty has changed for his side since their last visit. The Ton boss endured a nightmare start to his tenure when his side crashed out of the Scottish Cup following a humiliating 4-0 defeat to Stenhousemuir back in January. The Warriors would go on to secure promotion to the Championship through the play-offs, while Morton avoided a bottom-two finish with a draw on the final day of the campaign. Since then, Gary Naysmith has departed Ochilview to take charge at Ayr United, with Marvin Bartley now leading Stenhousemuir into the second tier. However, Murray knows his side cannot afford to underestimate their opponents. “The dynamics of both teams have changed since then, probably more so for Stenhousemuir,” Murray told the Tele. “For the guys who were with us when we went there last time, it’s a warning what will happen if you don’t turn up. “They’ve obviously been promoted and changed manager - it’s a completely different game. “Losing Gary Naysmith was a blow for them, but Marvin certainly has something to build on there.” Morton captain Grant Gillespie should be available for their first away game of the season, although doubts remain over Cammy Ballantyne and Jackson Longridge. Jayden Gorman, Kerr Robertson, and Grant Savoury are not expected to return until the meeting with Arbroath in a fortnight’s time. “Gills [Grant Gillespie] is fine, he had a bit of tightness in his hamstring and you can’t take any risks there,” Murray added. “Jackson did a little bit of work on Thursday, we’ll see how he is. “Cammy has been longer than we thought he’d be, but we’ll see what we can do ahead of the game - he’s certainly not long term. “Jayden, Grant, and Kerr are where they are, we don’t anticipate them being back to Arbroath and that’s everything being well.
