Morton FC are on the hunt for a new head groundsman - for the second time in less than 12 months. Adam Henderson, who was appointed to the post in August 2025, is leaving Cappielow to 'take up an exciting opportunity in a new role'. Henderson had worked at various golf clubs across Inverclyde and Ayrshire before his appointment at Cappielow. However, Ton say he will remain available to assist the club on matchdays to 'ensure a smooth transition' to his successor. A Ton spokesperson said: "Since joining the club, Adam has played a vital role in maintaining the playing surface at Cappielow, ensuring the pitch has remained in excellent condition throughout all weather conditions and across a demanding fixture schedule. His hard work, professionalism, and commitment behind the scenes have been greatly appreciated by players, staff, supporters, and everyone associated with the club. On behalf of everyone at Greenock Morton FC, we would like to thank Adam for his dedication and the outstanding work he has carried out during his time at Cappielow. We wish him every success in his new position and for the future. Ton have posted a full job description for the role on LinkedIn as the search for Henderson's successor begins.
